  1. Registration of candidates on the recruitment portal of the Academy of Silesia; Recruitment Portal
    • Create an individual candidate account using an email address.
    • Complete the required candidate information.
    • Attach an electronic biometric proof photograph.
  2. Applying for the selected field of study using the “graduate studies” tab;
    • For studies conducted in a language other than Polish, change the website’s language by clicking the Great Britain flag in the top right of the page.
    • Go into the “graduate studies” tab.
    • Select the chosen field of study.
  3. Attaching required documents to the application on the recruitment portal;
    • High school diploma/ secondary school-leaving certificate.
    • Apostille/legalization of the high school diploma.
    • Sworn translation of the document into Polish or English (before the beginning of the semester, all documents must be translated into Polish),
    • Payment of the recruitment fee (30 Euro) to the bank account specified in the payment section of the individual recruitment portal,
    • Administrative decision issued by the Board of Education – a procedure for recognizing a high school diploma obtained in another country. It is carried out at a selected Education Office in Poland.
  4. Response from the Recruitment Committee to the candidate’s application.
    • Depending on the chosen language of instruction in the selected course, the candidate is invited to a language proficiency test conducted at the Academy or online using the MS Teams platform.
    • The test is not mandatory for individuals whose native language is the language of instruction or for those with an appropriate document confirming language proficiency.
    • Test on two subjects out of four: biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. This test applies only to candidates for medicine who do not have a passing grade from their final high school exams in at least two out of four subjects.
    • Exams are conducted in Katowice, Poland.
    • After the exam/exams, a candidate receives a decision on admission or rejection, in case of failure to pass the test.
  5. Issuance of a decision on admission of a foreigner to studies at the Academy of Silesia; the document entitles the applicant to apply for a residence permit in Poland
    • Payment of the enrolment fee (EU countries 200 Euro/ non-EU countries 300 Euro),
    • Signing an educational services agreement with the candidate (in Katowice at 43 Rolna St., or online using Autenti, after presenting the original documents described in point 3),
    • Visa, residence card, or other document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
    • Presentation of a document confirming possession of health insurance valid in Poland,
    • A certificate from an occupational medicine doctor confirming no contraindications to starting studies based on the referral given by the AĹš Office during signing the contract – applies only to medical courses.
    • Commencing studies according to the schedule of the academic year.
  6. * Administrative decision applies to certificates obtained in countries where Poland has not concluded bilateral agreements on recognizing education obtained abroad as equivalent to education received in Poland.
